Cost per mile or km
For an EV the cost per distance is simply the energy it uses per distance multiplied by your electricity price. A car using 17 kWh per 100 km on 0.15 per kWh costs about 2.55 per 100 km, or 0.026 per km.
For petrol cars the calculator converts litres per 100 km (or miles per US gallon) and the fuel price into the same unit so the two are directly comparable.

What electricity price should I use?
Use a blend of your home tariff and public charging prices weighted by how you charge. If you charge almost only at home, use the home tariff.
How do I find my EV energy use?
Check the trip computer, or divide the kWh added at the charger by the distance driven since the last charge.
